Sorrento

Hello there,
So other than marvelling at a million lights in Naples, I've also had the pleasure of eating enormous amounts of food and visiting the Amalfi Coast.
It would seem that family is a large part of this culture. It doesn't have to be blood relations necessarily, but neighbours or close friends often come over to share a meal or two. As a result we have had entire feasts over many days. On one occasion we had lunch, which started at 3 and ended at 6, and then drove to get some famous Neapolitan food. This included a fruit drink, sugar doughnuts, pizza and icecream. The icecream parlour was located near the water so we ate while staring at the beautiful lights of Naples across the water. It was messy, with icecream dripping and getting in my hair, but it was a beautiful moment. There's nothing better than night scenery and icecream.
The day after we woke to discover we were traveling to Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast. It's approximately 40min to drive there but on the way you can see the whole of Naples spread out through your window. The sights were beautiful. Every time you looks out the window there was something to see. The sunlight illuminated the bay and the water was such a deep blue.
Sorrento also happens to be the home of Limoncello, which is a lemon flavoured liqueur. Personally I think it tastes like lemon vodka, so it's not always great on the stomach and it's so much better chilled. However it's just one of those things you should try while you're here. The tiny stores clustered in the alleyways were filled with Limon cello in different shaped bottles. Everything was hand painted and colourful and my attention easily wandered from store to store.
