Hello my lovelies,
Just doing a quick little post before I head off for work. Some recent 2015 purchases and a visit to my new university prompted another life write up, so excuse the lack of fashion. I attended my university 'advice day' where they give us a welcome speech and go through subjects we can study during our three year degree. Can I just say how much I love Melbourne Uni? Like, honestly. I should have taken photos it was so beautiful. It's the kind of place where you'd imagine people sitting on the lawn, stretched out lazily in the sun with a few friends and your Mac doing a bit of study or light reading before your next lecture. It's the kind of place where people sit on wooden benches and watch the world pass them by. A place that's filled with leaves in Autumn and a place to cozy up in your favourite sweater and a cup of coffee as you hurry to a class. That's Melbourne Uni. I have never been so in love with an institution, or so glad I got an ATAR good enough to be accepted. I don't even mind the hour commute. I use to go to the CBD for Japanese tuition, and spent 40min drives to Fitzroy so I could learn mathematics and chemistry. I am so accustomed to travelling great distances for simple tasks that when someone says 'but isn't it far?', I simply shrug. You get a cup of coffee, some music and a good book and you'll be set, and if you saw that campus you'd think it's worth the train ride anyway.
As for my photo attachment, if you're Australian or you're in Australia, check out Yen Magazine or Frankie Magazine. I personally prefer Yen, Frankie has a lot more art and photography but Yen's a little more for travel and fashion in my opinion. A Kikki K diary to plan all my future events (including saying goodbye to an extremely dear friend of mine who was accepted into ANU). Bit of a close up of my MK watch. I bought a pen that says 'you're weird. I like it' to use with my diary, it's so cute and thin; perfect for carrying around in my bag. Lastly, my latest gem, a new copy of Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I found the most amazing bookstore today in the Emporium. They sold hard covers and different prints of classic novels, I've made a mini mission to buy all the Jane Austen ones. All of a sudden the future looks a whole less depressing and freaky, looking forward to 2015. Until next time,
Amy.
P.S I'm in the process of looking for an adorable sweater so I can cozy up with a cup of coffee as I run to class ;) Yup, totally want to fit the image.
