Hello my lovelies,
This week has been quite the same. I work mostly and see my girlfriends (well, the ones that are left in the country). My family did come over from QLD/Malaysia though. So we had Christmas together and went shopping. Haven't seen some of them for years, so it's been fun having them around, sometimes I wonder if I'll end up keeping in contact with them in the future or not. Honestly, I was born in at a strange age where all my cousins are either incredibly older or incredibly younger than me and I'm not even close with the ones who are similar-ish to my age. I never grew up with that whole cousins are like your best friend thing, but nevertheless it's been nice to see them again.
Anyway, clothing wise these are some shots from my best friends 18th. I cut my hair *gasp*, it's honestly not that short, it's past my shoulders, but it's such an awkward length that I hate it when it's all out. Thus I pin most of it up and make it look like a bob. On a side note, if anyone watches The Legend of Korra, my hair totally reminds me of Sue Beifong, too bad I'm not some badass metal bender. I'm wearing a black skirt which is long on the right side and short on the left. It gathers just off centre at the front as well, which makes it a little more interesting as opposed to your usual black skirt. I'm also wearing a patterned tie back top which has a relatively high neck (well, for my standards anyway). I wasn't a real fan of the shoes, I must be honest, but there was a strict no heels requirement so I had to settle for wedges, otherwise I would have worn black stilettos. There's minimal jewellery, I was wearing drop skull earrings for fun, but the high necked top made it difficult to pair a decent necklace with so I went without.
It was, however, an excellent night. Free alcohol, so I couldn't exactly complain, but I saw a lot of my friends again and I'm glad that I haven't lost contact with a lot of them. Okay, I have an hour before I have to go back to work (double shift tonight, want to kill my manager), so I should go do something a little more productive.
Amy.
