Monochrome

Hello my lovelies,
I have returned after a month with a new favourite outfit. Recently I’ve been stocking up my winter wardrobe and I’ve finally gotten myself into pants. I have always avoided jeans and pants of any sort, which, I know seems odd. After I came back from Japan two years ago, I quickly adapted their sense of fashion into my daily outfits, which basically meant I wore skirts in winter with thigh high socks. Needless to say, I got endless stares and the never ending ‘aren’t you cold?’ question. So it is somewhat refreshing to change my wardrobe ever so slightly.

I’ve made an investment on the American Apparel riding pant – full price, yes I cried too. However these gorgeous pinstripe pants have quickly become one of my favourite things in my wardrobe. They’re wide legged, giving you so much room and comfort to move around in but they aren’t your normal plain black pants. The pinstripe design gives it a little more flare to your everyday outfit and you can easily dress it up or down depending where you’re going. The black crop top was a fluke buy from a Minkpink warehouse sale I went to a few days ago. I fell in love with it when I put it on. The scallop trim at the neckline and it’s slightly off shoulder design makes it a little girly and feminine yet elegant. You can never go wrong with a plain black crop in your fashion arsenal, so I'd say it's a must have for any occasion.
I have to admit that my colour choices have also changed recently. I am loving monochrome and the more black I can incorporate into my outfit, the better. I guess it's down to the changes in environments and people I surround myself with these days. Sometimes I just really prefer my own company, or a few close friends, and that's all I'll need.
Anyhow, until next time.

Amy.
